Tribal print nails
After seeing these amazing 'Missoni inspired' nails I decided to give the tribal look a go myself.

Sadly, my tools are limited to one black nail art pen (Models Own) and a kirby grip for dotting - therefore the end result is a lot more simple.
I am however, still enjoying tapping away at my keyboard with these colourful nails!

Rizlab project - Jamie XX
Last night we went to the Rizlab project at the Classic Car Club in Old street. Jamie XX played a set accompanied by visuals by Quayola.
The venue was really cool, with a great sound system set up for the event. Jamie XX played a great set too, however the crowd seemed a little lost as they didn't know whether to dance or to stand and stare at the visuals around them, so it was quite a mixed vibe.
Will be interesting to see what the Rizlab guys do next...

Nail art at home
Although I am generally not hugely interested in make up, I do LOVE nail polish! I do, however, resent paying huge prices for someone to paint them, so I prefer to do them myself. It's much more fun to come up with my own ideas anyway...
These nails are really simple and can be done in any colour. Simply dip a kirby grip into the colour that you want to dot with once the base colour is dry.
I recently took advantage of the Models Own 50% sale, and bought these polishes, including a black nail art pen which is amazing! With it, I managed to create leopard print nails in no time at all...

DIY
After falling madly in love with these Bitching and Junkfood shorts (£70 from Urban Outfitters), I decided to have a go at making my own...
I customised an old pair of vintage Levi shorts with a feather crown headband from Primark (£3), and the result was a slightly more conservative - but still amazing - pair of shorts!

Bestival 2011...
This year's Bestival was definitely the best one yet.
With amazing performances across all stages, and a huge fireworks display, it really was a weekend to remember.
James Blake's beautiful set actually brought a tear (or several) to my eye. The sound was quite off for the first track, but after this had been rectified he blew everyone away.
